Enabling Sustainability – the Arnco way

Arnco has been providing environmentally sustainable products for almost forty years.  We realized early on that creating products that increase efficiency and offer better productivity provide both economical and environmental benefits.  For example, Arnco’s Tire Flatproofing division offers products that have literally eliminated tens of millions of tires from reaching tire landfills during the past four decades by maximizing tire life and allowing end-users to increase their productivity while reducing tire repair costs.

Today, as an industry leader in the chemical systems manufacturing industry, Arnco has made providing environmentally supportive products a long-term strategic business priority.  With our historically strong research and development as a competitive advantage, Arnco has been able to lead each industry it participates in by gradually introducing next generation technologies that have significantly reduced the usage of oil, petrochemicals, toxic metals, and other environmentally harmful compounds.  By concentrating on increasing the environmental performance of each new innovation, Arnco will ensure its continued success as the market leader in each industry our customers compete in.  Not only has this already provided for a better manufacturing environment both for Arnco employees and Arnco’s customers, but has also enabled our customers and end-users to become more efficient and responsive to the increasing demand for greener products.

In addition to incorporating renewable or recyclable materials into our products, Arnco understands that sustainability begins with us and has now committed and challenged its entire organization to becoming more aware and more responsive to their collective environment.  Arnco’s manufacturing operations create virtually zero waste or emissions, and there remains various ongoing, company-wide, green initiatives to reduce, reuse, or recycle whenever possible. 

However, we at Arnco realize that there is only so much we can accomplish on our own and this is why we have strategically combined our customer’s success to Arnco’s success.  By partnering with American Forests, Arnco has established its “One tote, One Tree” program that plants a new tree for every tote of product purchased by Arnco’s customers.  We remain grateful to all of our customers that have not only enabled over 15,000 new trees to be planted so far, but also have helped eliminate over 12,000 barrels of petrochemicals from being used.   

While all of us at Arnco are excited with our achievements so far, we also recognize that a chemical company there is always room for progress.  Fortunately, Arnco has been a leader in developing environmentally authentic innovations for almost forty years and remain committed to gradual progress over the longer term that will ensure sustainability not only for the company and its customers, but also for the environment as well.  By following its guiding “5P Philosophy”, Arnco is confident that, by linking our People, Partners, Products, and Profits with the Planet, we all can make a difference in this generation and for generations to come.
